BOW SHOOT ENTRY FEES

Practice Rounds - 2 FOR $15.00

Bow-Hunter - $25.00 (Two Rounds)

Teen and Pre-Teen - $15.00

BOW SHOOT DIVISIONS

Bow-hunter - Fixed pin with no magnifying, 12 inch or less stabilizer. V-bar is considered a stabilizer.

Teen - ages 13, 14, and 15

Pre-teen - ages 12 and under

BOW SHOOT FORMAT

Each competitor will shoot TWO (2) rounds from an elevated platform from a tree stand.

The two (2) rounds will be added together for a total score. The total score will be used to rank the top eight (8) or sixteen (16) shooters in each division. If there are 30 shooters or less in a division, 8 shooters will advance to the elimination round; if there are 31 or more shooters in a division, 16 shooters will advance.

The shooters advancing to the elimination round will be placed in a heads up, single elimination round in the following order: 1 vs. 8, 2 vs. 7, etc. If there are 16 in the elimination round it will be: 1 vs. 16, 2 vs. 15, etc.

BOW SHOOT RULES

Shooters are only allowed 7 arrows in the tree stand.

A dropped arrow may not be retrieved by anyone.

Equipment failure:

If a shooter has equipment failure during a round and stops before completing the round, that round will be re-shot. If a shooter completes a round and then discovers equipment failure that roundscore will stand.

If Bowmasters of Arkansas has equipment failure during a round, the round will be re-shot. If Bowmasters of Arkansas must stop a round due to some unforeseeable problem, the round will be re-shot.

The maximum draw weight allowed is 80 pounds.

Then minimum arrow weight allowed is 5 grains per pound of draw weight.

Scoring will be 14, 12, 10, 8 AND 5.

All ties in the qualifying rounds will be broken by Bowmasters of Arkansas personnel. In the case of identical ties, and all ties in the finals, the ties will be broken by a shoot off round.

You may shoot in more than one division provided you shoot equipment common to that division. A shooter may not shoot in both Advanced and Bow-hunter divisions.

No range finding devices will be allowed in the shooting area.

A shooter may re-enter the tournament FIVE (5) times. If the shooter re-enters, his/her initial score will be erased and the following score will count. NO EXCEPTIONS. Shooters will be allowed to re-enter as time permits. The consumption of alcohol before or during a tournament will be grounds for immediate disqualification from the tournament.

Arkansas Big Buck Classic

Deer Scoring Rules - Regulations - Eligibility

ELIGIBILITY:

To be eligible for prizes, antlers must be brought to the registration desk in Barton Coliseum from 1 pm to 9 pm Friday or from 9 am to 5 pm Saturday. There is no fee for contest or scoring of 2 deer per hunter other than general admission charge. There is a $10 charge per antler after two. Each entrant must leave antlers on display through the awards presentation on Sunday to be eligible for prizes. All top ten and category winners must be available Saturday evening or Sunday morning for polygraph testing. Finalists will be notified either Saturday evening or Sunday morning for testing times. It is the entrants' responsibility to leave a phone number to be contacted for testing time. ABBC IS NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU CANNOT BE REACHED.

The Classic is open to all whitetail hunters who hunt in the state of Arkansas. Scoring will be done on site at the Classic.

RULES:

- Antlers for all divisions must be current season Arkansas Whitetail deer except Best

of Show & Best New Buck, which are for previous season whitetail deer.

- Antlers must be checked in at registration desk by 5:00 pm Saturday.

- Entrant must supply all requested information for entry at check-in.

- Falsified information will disqualify entrant for any prizes or awards.

- Entrant must be willing to submit to polygraph testing & pass polygraph or be

disqualified.

- Antlers must have been obtained within full compliance of all game laws of the state

of Arkansas and must comply with Boone & Crockett guidelines of Fair Chase.

- All antlers must have been taken in Arkansas or under Arkansas jurisdiction (except

Best of Show).

- Any antlers removed from the Classic prior to the Awards Presentation on Sunday

forfeit any awards or prizes.

- All entries will be scored and recorded in the Classic archives.

- Classic scorers will try to make a notation if a deer qualifies for distinction with

Boone & Crockett or Pope & Young, but it is the entrants' responsibility to fill out the

appropriate paperwork for these organizations.

- All entries agree by their entry to allow Arkansas Big Buck Classic, Inc., and its

agents the right to use photos for promotional purposes without further compensation.

- All entries receive an Arkansas Big Buck Classic scoring certificate.

- In the event of a tie in any division, including Overall, a drawing will determine the

winner.

- All decisions made by the Arkansas Big Buck Classic scoring committee are final.

In 1990, three prizes were offered at the 1st Arkansas Big Buck Classic®. More than 200 prizes are now awarded.

The Overall prize is awarded to the deer whose score comes closest to or most exceeds the minimal requirement

for Boone & Crockett in the category of typical or non-typical.
